"I just finished A Hero's Heart.  What a delightful book!  The whole first half was non-stop exciting action. What a whirlwind of chasing, escaping, danger, turmoil, and secretly growing affection.  And once they arrived in Robin Hood's Bay, the plot thickened in texture to deepening intrigue, anxiety, and jealousy, buoyed by the undercurrent of increased compassion and stolen moments of uplifting hidden love.

"You will quickly become absorbed by this delightful and totally engaging Regency Romance. Quickly introduced to the main characters, the story is skillfully revealed with twists and turns. Made especially interesting by the thorough research and sense of fun throughout the novel.  I would love to see it being made into a period drama airing on the BBC or Netflix.  Rose

     A HERO’S HEART is a Regency romance set in 1815 London and Robin Hood’s Bay, a town rife with smugglers.  It is a wholesome love story, action-packed with romantic adventure and intrigue.
     Tricia Ravenscar, a virtuous young lady in dire distress, boldly decides to escape from her uncle, the despotic Lord Kilver, so she disguises herself as a boy and flees across the Yorkshire moor.
     The Duke of Rowan rescues what he thinks is a lad, and kindly takes Tricia to London and makes her his page.  When he discovers that she is a young lady in great danger from Kilver, he determines to save her from a life of misery.
     Tricia falls in love with her considerate Duke, and discovers that he has hazards of his own.  To help him, she enacts clever hi-jinks, trying to rid him of two wicked society women who scheme to get their hooks into him.      Striving together, the Duke and Tricia fight to save each other from the enemies who tightly grip them.  Can their love ever triumph over the villainous plots pitched against them?
     This book is a novel with humor and lightheartedness woven through perilous intrigues.  I wrote it because strong heroes and heroines who live by moral integrity give us good role models to love.
