 Pursuing Genevieve

An Exciting Historical Romance
First Edition
Georgian Sister Series, Book 2

Reader Reviews:
5.0 out of 5 stars "A lively romp in the French countryside"
"After reading Forbidden Arabelle, I was delighted to be able to read the sequel about Arabelle's sister, Genevieve, set two years later. While it features a few of the loveable (and loathesome!) characters from the previous book, there are engaging new characters to meet as well.  All the intrigue and hijinks are set in real locations such as the spectacular Chateau de Chambord and Chateau de Villebon, which will make you want to visit France tout de suite! If you like a clean, wholesome story with romance, subterfuge, heart-wrenching predicaments, and appealing characters, look no further!"  Ashlan

5.0 out of 5 stars "Interesting book with main characters trusting in God."
I loved how it kept my interest.  It is very realistic in that the main characters pray and trust God in their lives. I love the old-fashioned stories this author writes with actual places and styles of the period. I like the different situations that were not the typical.  They left me wondering what was coming next. The story is clean, so I could let my granddaughters read it with no worries. They could actually learn some great life lessons from the good people in this book."  Debbie

5.0 out of 5 stars "A story of goodness vs selfishness"

"I just finished reading Pursuing Genevieve for the second time!  I enjoy reading stories that are clean and entertaining, which is true of this author's books."  Carol

ENTER NAME:
PURSUING GENEVIEVE is a clean historical romance full of intrigue, set in 1754 England and France.
While it follows FORBIDDEN ARABELLE, this book can stand alone.

Genevieve Lamar, daughter of a Viscount, rejects all the titled, wealthy men on her mother’s list as undesirables, which makes her mother furious.  She pounces on an invitation from France, and hustles Genevieve to the magnificent Château de Chambord to find a man.
Lord Ashby, an admirer of Genevieve's, escorts them there, only to find a familiar Londoner, Sir Pomeroy Chancet, lying in wait for her.  Genevieve dodges men in the immense château, for she fears being forced to accept a proposal from someone she does not love.
A Frenchman, Armand de Villebon, arrives at the château on an espionage mission, and entrusts Genevieve to help him with a dramatic plan.  During the uproar that ensues, the three men engage in a clash of schemes and wills.  Genevieve is romantically wooed by all of them in their unique and startling ways.
Which man is the right husband for the pure and discerning Genevieve, whom they all pursue with relentless ardor?

Letters from a reader of FORBIDDEN ARABELLE:
"Imagine my delight at meeting again my friends from Forbidden Arabelle!  I am so enjoying diving back into your vibrant world of costumes, intrigue, and romance.
"Your characters are so easy to fall in love with (yes, it's even fun to laugh at Madam's ridiculousness!).  And to learn that they will be going to Château de Chambord, one of my favorite châteaux in the Loire valley!  How fabulous!
"You know, one thing I love in an author is when I can trust them not to damage their main characters.  Even when things begin going poorly for a character I've grown to care about, with you I know it will turn out well in the end.  It's so rewarding to be able to relax into the story with that in mind, and enjoy the drama as it unfolds.
"Thank you for creating these delightful characters and for introducing me to them!
Sharon

"I just finished Pursuing Genevieve.  What an exciting flight and chase sequence, and all of the near-misses with that dastardly Sir Pomeroy!  I read an author once likening villains in a story to pepper in a soup.  Your antagonists each add their own delicious spice: Madam, Sir Pomeroy, Dorcasta.
"And the settings are so fabulous!  I could totally envision the rooftop at Chambord, and Chartres Cathedral, having visited both of those places.  And the fairytale-like Villebon sounds so enchanting!
"Thank you again for these fun books! "
