ENTER NAME:
THE ROGUE AND THE ROSE is a romantic novel set in England and Wales in 1822.

Lady Celia is horrified to learn that she will lose her beloved Cotswold estate unless she marries by her 21st birthday, only a month away.  Her desperate grandmother sends her to Bath to shop feverishly for a husband.
Raoul Radnor, the stranger who first saw Celia in a very embarrassing situation, soon appears as her new coachman, and shows an uncanny delight as he drives her to Bath.  Suspicious of his motivation, she can hardly look at him.
With good reason, Celia is leery of men, especially the acclaimed, mercenary men in Bath society where she is supposed to troll for a husband.  She has a different idea of how to find a man, so she creates a daring plan with her best friend: they switch identities.  This deception propels both her and the bogus Lady Celia into quagmires of trouble.
Raoul, aware of her scheme, strenuously disapproves, and goes to grand lengths to extract Celia from the disasters she causes.  She sails into unheard-of complications that turn her life—and her vulnerable heart—upside down.
How can romance possibly bloom for this English rose when all her dreams of a loving marriage turn into nightmares?
